How we met....

Chris and I met in March 2007 at my job.  He had worked there at one point a few years before and was there visiting one of my friends who happened to sit next to me.  He was purchasing a condo and was talking with her about whether or not we could do the mortgage for him.  So it just happened that where he was buying his condo was in my hometown and I was familiar with the location.  He was there visiting for a while and this was when MySpace was big and it came up that I had a MySpace page.  Well over the weekend he found me on MySpace and sent me a message.  We exchanged messages via MySpace for a while before we exchanged our personal emails.  At the time Chris was working over seas so our only real means of communication was email.  We emailed everyday and it was such a great way to get to know each other.  Needless to say the emails eventually became phone calls and then he was able to come home for 1 week in May.  We spent the entire week together, well except for when I worked and then he left.  We continued our emails and phone calls and finally on July 31, 2007 he came home for good.  We've been together ever since! 

The Proposal

In February 2010 we went on a trip to Vegas, which is a favorite place of ours.  Many people know that we even take our quick little trips down to Connecticut when we can't make it to Vegas and have a night to kill.  So any way we were on our way to Vegas and our flights got all messed up because of bad weather in Memphis where we had a connecting flight.  So instead of getting to Vegas at 1230pm like we planned we spent the day in 3 different airports running to this plane and that and arrived in Vegas at 630pm.  We did decide to stay an extra night/day to make up for missing most of the day our first day.  On our second day there we went up and down the strip from where were staying at the Bellagio all the way to the Sahara and Stratosphere to MGM and every where in between.  At one point we had lunch at Ceasars and split up for a little bit so I could do some shopping.  When we met up about an hour later he had a bag from the Coach store so of course I wanted to know what was in it, he refused to give it to me.  So a few hours go by and we are bouncing around the strip and he finally gives it to me but I decide I'll wait to open it until he tells me I can.  So we end up at the MGM and we play a machine that does not give tickets so when we go to cash out we have to wait for an attendent to come, I know... we didn't win we just wanted our money, so weird.  So at this point I tell him I'm going to open my gift while I'm waiting for the attendent.......so I open the box and there is cute little Coach wristlet in there for me!  I was so excited, it was so sweet of him.  Then of course I have to open it, right ladies, of course you open it to take the paper out and fill it w/ your stuff.  Well wouldn't you know that when I unzipped it there was the ring, pulled through the stuffing just waiting for me.  He got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him and that was it!!  It was PERFECT :) !
